I’ve been using DMC children’s specialist for my older child but my infant daughter was recently sick and admitted to 6 East. From the ER, to transport to the unit, to housekeepers, nurses, doctors and more we had the best experience given the circumstances of being admitted. Special shout out to Janel and her student (I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, it started with a J also) as I feel they went above and beyond to not only make our baby comfortable but to make sure I was too. great nurses, great care, and great people working there.
My son hurt his leg at baseball practice so thinking it was broken we took him to Children's Hospital in Troy. They took xrays and verified it was indeed broken, both bones all the way through. They then sent us on to Children's hospital in Detroit and when we walked in they were packed. My son was in a lot of pain and we didn't know how we were going to wait this out. Was brought in because my son had breathing problems and snoring of breath.. they had my 3yr old in the waiting area for 4hours😭😭😭 he could’ve died..... 😭😭😭😭
Amazing staff. Everyone was so kind and very knowledgable. From the minute I pulled into the parking lot there was someone there to assist me. Valet parked my car, no waiting in the emergency room at all we were taken right back to a room and within three hours they had my daughter admitted and in her room for the next eight days. We spent time in multiple departments such as MRI, pet scan and ultrasound every person that came in contact with us was excellent. Dr.Forbes took care my sons heart since he was toddler my son is 27 and last year he did a heart catheration on his aortic valve stenosis and his valve the way open, Dr.Forbes is great doctor and want thank him for all he did for our son Allen Lee Buffington. Thank you Dr Forbes and all that worked in cardio dept . Thanks we got our son fixed and well.
