Process time is way to long. I submitted my recert application in the beginning of April it is now June and it has not been processed yet I have been paying $560 a week out of pocket because they haven't approved my application yet. I call every week to get a status and it is the same answer every time the it is in the final stages... Every time I try to speak with the person. handling my case she is out or never returns my calls. Never have I ever had to wait this long or pay this much out of pocket. Truly upsetting
This is the worst program I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I use the Army program as well. For some reason the "processors" are having a hard time matching up my most current SF50 with my most current LES. This is holding up payment to the provider for 3 months now. I have had to pay full tuition out of my pocket. I have called and emailed CCA every few weeks about how they are progressing with processing my approval and they still can't get it together. The application process is a nightmare. You will submit and resubmit the same documents. They will promise back pay for the extended time they waste during the approval process and then deny the back pay because of a deadline that is stated nowhere in the approval packet. The payment director stated that the time limit to submit attendance sheets for back dating was "implied" or it was an "expectation" that is not actually written anywhere.
Worst family program EVER for military. The wait time is ridiculous. They provide daycares that are not eligible for the program and you don’t find out until you’ve waited months and did all of the paperwork......the government should hear all of these complaints and shut this sting down!
Do not waste your time dealing with getting your childcare center approved! You and your childcare center will spend months sending and resending the same information only to hear it was never received or is still being reviewed. If you do spend all this time to get everything approved you will then be given every reason possible of being denied the actual subsidy. Do yourself and your childcare facility a favor and don’t waste the time. You will spend less time at a part time job to help with the daycare cost!
It’s absolutely horrible! By the time our family’s application gets approved, it’s about time to re-certify, and the painful process starts all over again. Their lines of communications are awful, people is untrained, and their timeliness to get anything done is unacceptable. If we didn’t need the money, I would have saved myself the endless hours of being on hold, countless emails and tons of frustration
If someone is already on the program but has to PCS, do not place them on a waiting list. Families who are on the program should only be transferred.
