I am not in the military myself, but I have a great deal of respect for people who serve our country. I am a Respite care Provider, and as provider, these jobs have been a wonderful blessing to my family. I started receiving military respite care for my disabled daughter in 2013. Everything was going well until I was dropped and put back on the waiting list in 2016 because the agency assumed services wasn't needed anymore. When I explain to the secretary over the phone that I actually still needed the service due to an unfortunate personal issue and my husband going away for training , she told me that the head supervisor would be getting back with me to resolve the issue. What a wonderful organization fighting for our children! My wife and I were happy to be a part of the Day on the Hill. What a great opportunity to speak our voices for change in child care!
