The PreCheck line is on the far right, you speed right on through and it's an entirely different security section. Totally worth it.
The best part about flying through Midway is that you're not flying through O'Hare.

Mecca of connecting flights! Carry on light stuff if possible - 40 minute layovers can get trying.
If you are at midway, i would recommend the airplanes. They are very large and will get you to your destination quickly.
Two hour layover changing flight turned to four due to extreme thunder an lightning storm causing a "ground stop". Home at 11 PM vs 9 PM. Personnel fantastic! Extreme weight persons should pay more
Gate A4A and A4B are out of the way and don't have much seating BUT they have a bar with drinks to go! Get a drink and walk or take a seat near your gate.
There's a hidden charging station on the A4 concourse.
