After years of neglect, Midway is finally getting the attention it needs and deserves. As Chicago's second, it is usually cheaper to fly out of than O'Hare International. You may be surprised at how small and easily navigable it is. Some fine it a welcome respite from the confusion of O'Hare. It is also easily accessible from the Loop via the Orange Midway El line. Baggage claim sucks here and is the only problem I see with this airport. Even though bags are free with Southwest, if you are in a hurry, carry it on!
Small, enough places to have lunch, lines for customs moves relatively fast. Friendly staff
At B12 there is an honest to goodness salad stand with fresh, nutritious fare. A rarity in airports!
Harry Carrey's is a great stop for a quick bite.
It's so easy in and out, Windy City Transport is best sedan service.
I always get something from gold coast dogs before my flight :)
If you're boot eligible, do not park in the lot, they will boot your car
Be sure to use the moving sidewalks to get between gates faster. Remember, walk on the left, stand on the right!
