After years of neglect, Midway is finally getting the attention it needs and deserves. As Chicago's second, it is usually cheaper to fly out of than O'Hare International. You may be surprised at how small and easily navigable it is. Some fine it a welcome respite from the confusion of O'Hare. It is also easily accessible from the Loop via the Orange Midway El line. I use southwest airlines, no money for suitcases. Can take paratransit bus to Mom's.
So much easier than O'Hare.
If your flight leaves from gate A4A... don't be late because it is a journey to get to from TSA.
Checking into security was a breeze and I got to keep my leftover Giordano's pizza. Need a charge? They've got plugin spots.
Great coffee is available at Pot Belly.
If flying SWA, get there early. TSA moves fairly quick unless you have something to be inspected. Uh oh...
