After years of neglect, Midway is finally getting the attention it needs and deserves. As Chicago's second, it is usually cheaper to fly out of than O'Hare International. You may be surprised at how small and easily navigable it is. Some fine it a welcome respite from the confusion of O'Hare. It is also easily accessible from the Loop via the Orange Midway El line. Great alternative to Ohare. Lots of food options.
Unless you come in at A4A or A4B, this is a very convenient airport to connect through. SWA is getting decent seats instead of awful airport lounge seats.
Expert line is great, plenty of good food available. Southwest has lots of outlets available!
