After years of neglect, Midway is finally getting the attention it needs and deserves. As Chicago's second, it is usually cheaper to fly out of than O'Hare International. You may be surprised at how small and easily navigable it is. Some fine it a welcome respite from the confusion of O'Hare. It is also easily accessible from the Loop via the Orange Midway El line. Leave plenty of time though. The train stops a goof half mile from the terminal. You then have to take a lengthy walkway to get inside and it does take some time.... read more

Be careful booking early flights if you plan to take CTA as orange line train from city may not be running yet.
Don't get coffee from the Hudson News in the food court. Was being lazy and wanted to buy a paper from the same place i got coffee. Bad move.

Allow time for Potbelly! It quick and entire to pretty much any gate right after TSA
TSA Pre-Check could mean extra checks for you, but if you're lucky, it's way easier: leave everything in your bags, leave shoes on. Woo!
Come early. Security is long.
