Been training here for 5+ years and not a day goes by that I don't kick myself for not starting sooner. Can't say enough good things about the quality of instruction and the positive atmosphere at Chattanooga Jiu Jitsu Academy.
Me. Swafford is not only the best Jiu Jitsu instructor in Chattanooga he is one of the best in the country. I live 90 miles away and have traveled regularly for the last 8 years for his instruction. If you are in Chattanooga area CJJA is a must visit location!
Great environment!! I have 3 children that attend.. Great learning atmosphere and the instructors are wonderful towards the kids. Self defense, anti bullying, and lots of fun!!

My name is Mike Budnik, I owe every ounce of my success as an MMA fighter and even more importantly my love of teaching to professor Mickey Swafford. His dedication to his students and his love of jiu-Jitsu are completely infectious. I work hard every day trying to become even half the instructor he is.
I trained at CJJA for about 10 years. Best instructor & people around. Mickey teaches real Gracie Jiu-jitsu. No better place to train for self-defense.
Mickey Swafford is an excellent jiu jitsu teacher that I have observed many times. Is very passionate about his job and the success of his students. So glad we have such a great school so close to home!
I have taken my boys who are now 10 and 12 to CJJA since they were 4 and 6. I love the way that Mickey incorporates respect, confidence and anti-bullying into every class. I have seen first hand how my boys have gained both confidence and caring as a result of their jiu jitsu training. I would encourage any parent to enroll their kids there. You won't regret it.
