This is such a fab hotel. A bit like stepping back in time, great service, good food, clean & comfy rooms. Very dog friendly..& only just a little way from Hadrian's Wall. Well recommended
Stayed here for one night while exploring Hadrian's Wall. This place has the best British hospitality. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were clean and cozy.
Great location, we had the lodges at the rear which were superb, food lovely. Definitely recommended.
Great hotel in the main street of Haltwhistle. Huge, comfortable room with large bathroom and a most welcome bath (after a hard day walking). TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Staff could not have been nicer. Hubby and I opted for an evening meal on our first night and we had a dining room just to ourselves, with a beautifully layed table. We chose our food from a three course set menu and it was very good. Breakfast was equally excellent.
The Centre of Britain is located mid town with local shops nearby. It has a variety of meals in the evening. At the back of the hotel is private parking. When we arrived the receptionist James was very friendly and welcoming. The food was very nice. The rooms are clean and spacey, we had one that was seperate from the main building and because there are two floors it has a feeling like an appartement. My Dad has Diabetes and it was no problem to store his insulin in the hotel kitchen, he even got an emergency key if he neede... read more
