AS A VETERAN THAT WORKS HERE FOR SOME 27 YRS IT HAS GOTTEN BAD ITS ALL ABOUT NUMBERS NOT VETS THEM SELFS . YOU TRY TO TELL THE VA WHAT YOU NEED AND THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED .AND PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH THAT ARE NOT VETS DO NOT GET IT. NOT AT ALL.
Terrible. They do not care. My husband got turned away today. He was in pain. Disgraceful.
The place just outright sucks, if you don't know anything about them they will give you the run around
I am currently at Temple VA Maroon Team. My appointment was at 1215 hrs. The time is 1256 hrs and I still haven't seen my doctor. They have me waiting in the weigh in area.
I have been receiving care through the Central Texas VA Healthcare group and it has been great. I began receiving care in Marlin, then in Temple, and now I am cared for in Waco (except when I was placed in a room in Temple for treatment) and the staff has been wonderful. I see others that have not had this experience and I wonder if they are being objective about their treatment (in some cases it has been housekeeping that they were not happy about). After retirement i lived in AL for a bit but when i got to Texas this VA hospital has done nothing but great things for me thank you Temple VA AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY! !!
I have caught 2 Staphylococcus infections at this hospital. I also lost half my colon due to an arrogant Doctor Who would not admit me. The last and final straw was when a VA cop threatened me. I have made it clear that if I'm threatened again I won't be held responsible for anything that might happen
So far I have been very pleased with the care,had colon re section earlier this year and I couldn't ask for better care
