My last experience was excellent the entire staff showed exceptional patience with a very rude and irate patient
The emergency department saved my life. I was brought in November 6 with anaphylactic shock from taking penicillin! I received excellent care from the time I came into emergency then went to ICU then to step down and then to the rehab section. Thank you to the nurses, doctors and therapists who shared in my care.

I’m. a former employee of SMH and for many years now Central Florida Regional. Not only did I work there For nearly 30 years but my children were born there and my surgeries were preformed there. I worked With many of the most compassionate, highly educated, and dedicated men and women I have ever met. Labor and delivery were awesome with our first baby !!! 27/10 nurses rene and Debbie were the best!!
Kudos to everyone in the ER last night (10/02/19) who took great care of my 92-year-old mother who fell and broke her arm. Wish I could name you all individually! You know who you are!!! You were the absolute BEST and definitely made a bad situation much, much better! You are truly a blessing to the medical profession.
my father was recently a patient at this Hospital and a staff member at that hospital found it necessary to go in my father's pockets of his shorts which were in his bag of stuff and steal all his money and then be told there's not much we can do cuz we don't have cameras to say who was in there who wasn't shame on the person who did it and shame on them for not recommending there staff and getting down to the business speeding cameras that work I will never in my life recommend anybody to ever go to the hospital again
Admitted to ER whilst on vacation and the staff were excellent, from the ambulance guys via 911 and then the hospital staff, especially Amy an RN who was very helpful and kind and Dr David Smith (or Stone - apologies Re my poor memory) who knew exactly what needed to be done and took care of me really quickly. My whole experience on the back of a scary incident was handled really well and I appreciated the care and helpfulness of everyone we came into contact with - thank you so much 🙏
