My sister was a patient in room 214 at the beginning of January. She had a motor vehicle accident and was in a lot of pain. The staff on the 2nd floor were amazing. Especially the day shift nurses. The nurse leader Dani came every single day to check in on her and would even sit and talk to her when she was feeling very down and depressed. My sister had just had a baby a month before the accident and was very upset to be away from her. the nurses were never on time with meds. My sister had surgery to stop internal bleeding and was promised a private room and was placed in a double room instead. The nurses stood outside her room and complained loudly about their day. My sister suffered abdominal pain and had no table for food and the nurses continously set the food tray on her lap. This hospital is understaffed 6 to 1 is too many patients per nurses. And they need to invest in more equipment.

I was taken in with a bowel obstruction numerous times. There was a Male latino nurse that took care of me most time. I was on so much pain and scared cause they had to put a tube through my nose into my stomach. This nurse was so reassuring and compassionate he relieved some of my anxiety. The service provided by all was extraordinary.
