Dr. Chao seems intelligent but lacks bedside manner. She is very abrupt, interrupts, and isn’t patient. She is in a rush whenever you get the chance to speak. Her GI treatment methods must be successful for some, however, when I brought up a specific concern and some follow up questions about her care plan she was rude and put me in the defensive in order to advocate for my child. Dr Chao REFUSED to put my 2 year old son’s GI tube back in after his endoscopy, insisting that mom learn how. This was after it being requested by parents AND the nursing staff. She is arrogant and dismissive. I do not trust that she actually LISTENS to patients or their parents.
