Very disappointed. Purchased a 2013 VW Passat. Within 12 hours the check engine light came on. Took car back to service department. Hooked up to computer and got a generic code. Was told to take it to VW. VW agreed that it needed to be checked and scheduled an appt. Went back to Carmax. The service advisor said to cancel the appt. and that Carmax would take it to VW but that it was safe to drive car. Returned to Carmax the following week to get car taken to VW. Went in to get my car appraised at Carmax... was met with a really nice greeter/sales associate. I requested to go on the appraisal test drive because I own a car that some people like to beat on when they test drive... The appraiser went on the test drive without me and came back with it and gave me an offer lower than what I was expecting so I declined and went home. From the time we walked in to the time we finished we had the best experience yet. They didn't care if they sold they cared if you were happy. With that attitude I will tell everyone about Carmax. The experience was about us and they were not pushy. We got a great deal and walked out very very satisfied.
