Although our saleslady was great the business there is super shady. We just spent four hours there, was already approved for the vehicle and about to test drive only to be told a couple who chose to test drive first got priority over us. They had not even been through the financing! We were told they were going to let them have it. I cannot even give Car Max a single star - the service has been so awful. From the general manager down to the sales staff - these guys are crooks. They will say anything to sell a car but do not follow good business practices during it after purchase.

Drove from LaVergne to test drive a car. When we got there, the guy that we talked to on the phone was gone. Funny, he said that he'd be there. Now, we talk to a different guy... go figure, the car we wanted to see wasn't even there. CarMax needs to get their SH*T together.

Absolutely terrible experience. Paid to have a vehicle shipped in from another location but ended up not buying. Completed the paperwork and test drive, final sales price was established and was to pick up the vehicle the next day after cleaning and prep. Came back for vehicle and the price had increased $60 due to their error. The manager refused to absorb their mistake and even used the "no haggle pricing" as their reasoning. I've worked with CarMax many times in Los Angeles area and loved my experiences there. This branch in Nashville leaves something to be desired with their associates. Tonya greeted us without giving us her name and we spent 30 minutes outside looking by ourselves (totally fine) but when we re-entered the lobby to discuss our potential selections, she stood on the floor being social with another associate and did not so much as acknowledge our return. Bye bye.
These people are liars and thieves. Do not trust this business.
They take great care of the mechanic experience. I do wish they had told me that VW are usually needing more repairs. Buy the extended warranty. Already saved my wallet, twice!
