People giving poor reviews need a reality check - Your paying £60 a night for a room in central opposite the tube - The room was quiet clean but did have a funny bleach like smell. The bathroom is small. If your looking for 3* which is a travelodge then book that at double the price - If your looking for a warm room a hot shower and a base which your be out of for most of the day then this is the place!

I have stayed at the Carlton three times now and enjoyed each stay. It is a budget hotel, yet it very good considering. The rooms vary from compact to spacious. The family room is excellent, very suitable for a family and well resourced. The staff are friendly and helpful and responsive if you need assistance. It is great that there is someone on reception 24 hours a day. The rooms are clean, electrics up to date, USB fittings etc. I have not had the breakfast, but a continental breakfast is available. Thanks to Staff (Anthony) 's help, we took our luggages easier to our room. Also effective service that he fixed what we need very swiftly. Will introduce friends to here.

The hotel is okay, you get what you pay for. WIFI costs an extra 5 pounds.
