Sorry but don't come here for brunch. Way to expensive and not enough food. They couldn't even keep the fruit stocked up to satisfy my kids. And not to mention what a brunch buffet not even anything to cater to the kids. Not waffles not pancakes. Not to mention very disappointment that I've been sitting here for 15 mins with nothing on my table and no checks and my water got filled once and I had to ask
I have never been treated so rudely by anyone as I was by the waiter working the tavern tonight. I sure as hell will not be coming back. The rest of the staff seemed nice, but cowed by what ever tyrant runs the kitchen. I arrived here after two wonderful days and nights in Victoria BC. The food, hospitality, service and friendly people put this dump to shame. People who treat others as I was treated don’t deserve to continue doing business.
Our dinner tonight was fantastic! The Poke' was delicious and the Osso Bucco made me glad I ordered it! My husband ordered the Hot Pot which was a wonderful mix of seafood and the perfect amount of spice - thumbs up!
Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the tavern which exceeded my expectations, it was more sort of upscale rustic than a pub-ish setting, reflected in the menu choices as well as the ambiance. The entire feeling of the Inn has a classy, quiet elegance in the albeit rustic wood surrounding. What an experience! Warm and inviting with a walk into the past!
A real experience to the past , friendly staff . Do need to put fans in room for warm stays and also in dining areas.
