We have just returned from the family camp with Camp Wilderness at Castle Howard. What an amaaaaaazing experience. We had the best time, we met some fabulous people. The facilities were plentiful, clean and hygenic and included everything we needed. The food was delicious and always freshly prepared. We had a technology free weekend, full of conversation, campfires, smores and children playing among beautiful nature as they made new friends and learnt just how much good fun life can be without phones, ipads and the like. We had a fabulous family weekend at Castle Howard. My 14 year old son really didn't want to come here, but he was soon having a fabulous time playing in the woods. There was a good range of ages, from about 7 to 15. No phone signal meant a great digital detox for the whole family. Son is now desperate for me to rebook for next year. My daughter did a five day camp at Castle Howard and by all accounts was absolutely epic. All the great bushcraft skills - firelighting, building shelters, whittling stick, trails through the woods. And much more! The leaders seemed brilliant and apparently the food was top notch too. Props to Camp Wilderness for their no photos, no contact “no news is good news” approach; it’s the best antidote to modern life and a life affirming experience for any kids who are lucky enough to experience it.

My son absolutely loved the 5 days he spent at Boughton Woods this summer. Wants to go back next year. The activities and the staff were fantastic.

My son spent an amazing 5 days at Cuffley and said it was "The absolute best ever!" The instructors made a lasting impression on my son and he is still talking about them and all the brilliant activities he did weeks after coming home! My son said the food was amazing, he made lots of new friends and has begged me to sign him up for next year! 100% recommend this for any parents who have kids that love the great Outdoors.
