By the Wye is a special place. My husband wanted an 'escape' with the family to celebrate his 40th birthday, and so we surprised him with a stay here and it was a perfect place to make family memories. The fishing, the bath canopied by the trees that the kids loved to splash in, the log fire, the autumn BBQ, and the views. The owners made everything feel like home and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time (they even brought round a bat detector for our boys to listen out with!).Thanks for a lovely stay!
Best family fishing break we have ever had! It’s hard to put into words what made it so special as it was everything from the warm welcome by the owners the minute we arrived, the idyllic setting in stunning woodland overlooking the Wye, the book town of Hay on Wye just a 2 minute walk away, and all the onsite activities for all the family including, of course, the exclusive on site fishing. 700 pounds for 3 nights during low season? Ridiculous
Well, what a lovely place and lovely owners! The glamping accommodation is wonderful - lovely large decking area with close views of the River Wye - spacious living area - comfy beds - powerful log burner - everything you'll need for a confortable stay ( good quality cooking hob, amazing gas BBQ, all utensils, even coffee powder provided). If you want off grid and love wildlife this is the place to be , went for a weekend fishing trip which was slow but the wildlife more than makes up for that , the owners are some of the most welcoming people I’ve met and can’t do enough for their guests , the accommodation is very well thought out and has all you need ,,, but it is off grid,, so don’t bother taking your electric gadgets
