The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

Remarkable....super friendly service, excellent menu full of delicious choices, fried chicken was the best I've ever had, in my entire life, potato salad.... same. Sweet tea, fried green tomatoes, this place is the real deal, if you are anywhere close to Atlanta and don't stop in, you may want to reevaluate your life choices.

Came to ATL for our anniversary and found this place on the web. The wait was a bit much hour and half and nowhere to sit for a to go order BUT.... we took the food to our room AND we were VERY pleased. Will definitely go back and call ahead of time but the food was EXCELLENT!!!

Please get a bigger place! The last two times I have come, I have not been able to get in. Today I decided to go off peak hours and you all couldn't even take to go orders. As my much as I love the food and staff, I won't be going back anytime soon. Tracy, please expand. We've been loyal long enough, and it's long overdue.
Business response:
Hi Darlene. We do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused. We do hope that you'll give us another chance and come by again.
I had the fried chicken with fried green tomatoes and potato salad, and my friend had the baked chicken with dressing and collard greens. We did wait a bit to be seated (it was a Sunday), but overall, the food and the service were fantastic. Yes, the Busy Bee is small, but the food and service more than made up for it. We'll definitely be back.
Great food 🥘 and people! Recommend this restaurant to anybody that comes to Atlanta & want Great Soul Food! 😍👍🏽🏾🔥
Food was Excellent and My Waitress was very nice and Courteous .
The catfish was excellent..Long wait but worth it.
Absolutely LOVED the food & service while visiting Busy Bee with my Sorority Sisters in Atlanta. It was a nice wait on a Sunday afternoon but as the locals waiting outside stated its "worth the wait" can't wait to go next time I'm in town. #BestSoulFood
The food is delicious. This day I had a 4 dish veggie plate of collards, green beans, Mac and cheese and candied yams. Everything was cooked to perfection. Sprinkle hot sauce on the greens and beans and add the corn bread muffin, mmmm. It is always crowded so expect a wait, it's part of the charm.
