The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

We absolutely love the food here! We drive over 2 hrs from Alabama just to eat here. Our only complaint is the extremely small and crowded space for customers to enjoy their meal and the parking lot is way too small as well. With the amount of business I see when we go, a larger place would be more comfortable and welcoming for the guests!!!
So I decided to try this place because it came highly recommended by William McCray. Well let me tell you, the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, yams and broccoli rice casserole was soooo good!!! Even the corn bread muffin was butter sweet delicious! Now, the spot is small so I suggest going earlier. And they are closed on Saturday's but great soul food!
They chicken so good y'all. And they dressing. You might have to wait but it's worth every minute

Today was my first visit and I absolutely loved it
The absolute best soul food in Atlanta other than my own!! If I cant cook it, this will be the only place I go to eat it!!! Only downside is the wait!! 2 1/2 hrs!! But momma was happy and we were celebrating her 83rd birthday. She said it was worth the wait!
