The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

Good!!! And tasty FOOD!...perhaps, All the dynamics ones has to Maneuver through just to get seated and wait on your food is ridiculous and unbelievable!!! {service~waitress had a nasty attitude}...my niece wrote two dollars and of course I wasn’t looking over to see what she was writing... perhaps I overheard the waitress holler out... “$2”in a nasty VOICE!!!...and I asked my niece What did you leave her...???two dollars ???and she said Yep!
The chitterlings were very bland. They only give 2 spoon fulls and it’s very pricey. The chicken is always on point. The yams were not sweet enough and had very little spices in them. The Mac and cheese was not creamy. It was baked but the cheese seem to be chalky. The Carmel cake was everything!!!!!! It was very moist. This was not my first visit however the owners should make it more customer friendly when it comes to the wait time and answering customer calls. We only wanted to make a Togo order and it was a tremendous wa... read more

We love this! Thank you so much for the 5 star rating. We hope to see y'all back again soon!
This was my first time in Atlanta and I have to say the food was amazing! The service was friendly and welcoming. It's a small space that I'm guessing is always packed but they don't have you waiting long to get a seat. I had the catfish, mac and cheese and candy yams. After the first bite, I was considering moving here from California. If you're in the Atlanta area you have to try this place. I'll be going back for sure.
