The Busy Bee is a hometown favorite for no-nonsense, down-home cooking. The locals outnumber tourists, a telling indicator of the Busy Bee's style. Red faux-leather booths line one wall, opposed by an old-time diner-style counter with red false-leather topped stools. No fancy New Southern pretenses here, just bona fide Dixie standbys like fried chicken, oxtails, smothered pork chops, fresh fried corn, greens, and candied yams. The marriage of soul food and Southern tradition is a happy one, and it comes pretty cheap, too.

We waited over 2.5 hrs... after waiting that long you don't want to just pick up and leave. Top it off, you have to wait outside in the heat... they could at the least offer something to drink while you wait, water, ice tea, something! I don't care how good the food is, I will not be coming back here again until they accommodate their customers.... PERIOD.

The worst experience ever....longest wait...rude hostess...food wasn't good @ all besides the collard greens were descent...but other than that the macaroni was horrible...i worst soul food restaurant in Lexington is killing Busy Bee's....and this is supposed to South's Kitchen...lol

The food was ok I got smothered porkchops ..... its a lil small, the only problem I had was wit the waitress she seem she had an attitude and took too long to come customer service us.

Unfortunately Ms. Angelique (one of the servers) as soon as I walked in the door was very mean nasty and lacked southern Hospitality!! I was told about this place through one of my church members and now before I can even taste the food I had to deal with a bad attitude!! Furthermore I’m visiting from Philadelphia and this wasn’t a good 1st impression very grateful for management for trying to accommodate by making her apologize but it wasn’t meaningful at all!!
The food seasoning is perfect. The best hole in the wall in Atlanta. Love it !!!
