Here are all the details of what happened: In around August or October I went into the branch where I opened my gym membership and told them that I wanted to cancel the membership, the representative that helped me told me that my membership would not expire until December. At this time I had not located my contract and I said okay. January came and again my account was debited 39.99 for my gym membership. Again I went into the gym where I obtained my membership and this time the representative that helped me told me that I ... read more
I have been a member of many gym clubs, and this one is a good one. Not the best, but one that has a good croud. BAC has alot of the new equipment and has a great staff as well. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.
This is one of the best fitness facilities in the greater Los Angeles area. They have state of the art training equipment, a courteous staff and very reasonable membership rates. The main thing I noticed is that they are very on top of the upkeep of their equipment and they are in the constant state of upgrade in regards to improving the facility. The staff is very courteous and very receptive to input from their members. They also offer a wide variety of free membership classes that are inclusive with all membership pac... read more
As gyms go, it's a very good gym. The place is squeaky clean, the equipment is up-to-date with plenty of free weights, benches and machines...overcrowding has never been a problem there for me and everyone seems pretty cool. Parking is also really good. I've only used the Hollywood Way gym, so I can't share any opinions on the media center one, although I suspect that the weights there are lighter. All in all, I'm glad I'm a member.
I joined this gym about 3 years ago. I just started getting serious with jiu jitsu so I figured it was a good time to leave the gym since I wasn't going very often. 1st Problem: You can sign up at the gym in person but you have to cancel your membership using snail-mail. What kind of policy is this? It did nothing but irritate me. I asked if I could drop off the papers in person, but according to them I'm not allowed to go to their offices because "there is too much personal information there." What does that even mean? What... read more
Good facilities and fair prices. They have good hours, wished they opened an hour earlier on the weekends. The only real negative is bathrooms could have better upkeep.
It's a pretty descent gym, with the exception of the staff, when it's time to close down, they literally kick you out and remind you that they will close soon. The open hours are so limited. They close at 8 pm on sat and sun. It's so annoying. Especially the blonde young lady at the desk gives dirty looks when you come in before closing. If you want to go home, don't work there. The dumbbells don't have a weight sticker, so you don't know if you grabbed a 35 or 55lbs dumbbell. They need to put new stickers on.
The facility equipment is good, but the management and staff are useless and they have no problem cheating members out of their $$$. They had included yoga classes with the membership until May , then they wanted to charge members pay as you go, not honoring the contract they made with their members. In speaking to them about , its obvious they don't care about their members. When my membership expires, because they wont refund me I wont rejoin. Dave
I like this club because: 1. It's not too crowded when i go (late morning) 2. Has all the equipment I need to have a good workout. 3. I like how the downstairs weights and machines are in sections 4. TV's on the cardio machines 4. Convenient parking in the garage Bummers: 1. Sometimes the top floor smells like garbage from the dumpster of the Chinese restaurant next door. 2. Sometimes hot 3. Small men's locker room, broken lockers
