I was a member of this gym when it use to be Worlds Gym. In total I've been going here over 15yrs and only because it was convenient seeing there were no other gyms in the area. I don't have the time to drive far to workout. I feel as if they knew this was the situation for many and didn't care to maintain their gym like other gyms would. I renewed my membership with this gym 2 yrs ago and had told the manager that the dumb bells did not have the specified weight on them. You know i read a lot of the reviews on the BAC and many have been decent or with many negative remarks. Yes it is an average gym compared to other high end gyms. But i call this place home i love this place. I am also a member at Equinox which is the best of the best in the gym world.. But i would rather work out at BAC any day over the Equinox and i do when i am in the area. So far so good. So, yesterday after looking around at other gyms and being completely sick of 24hr fitness and its ridiculous price I decided to join BAC. I joined online on their website, which allowed me to sign up for the $24 a month membership which is wayyyyy cheaper than 24hr fitness ($50). The website is a bit ancient and I was hesitant to do it online but I figured what the hell its easy I'll just do it. I joined Burbank Athletic Club for the Pilates class and I loved it!  My husband and I ended up moving out of the area about 5 months after I joined.  According to their contract, if a member moves out of their area, the membership will be transferred to another participating location or a refund will be given.  FAT CHANCE!!!  I went back and forth with Joshua (who was very nice) who left me a voice-mail saying that I would get a refund.  Then a few days later he called back and said that he was wrong and I wouldn't get one.... read more

We've been using this gym for a while now and as much as they are trying to make upgrades, it still is below par if you're a gym enthusiast. Also, my husband and I signed up for a year membership (since its the only gym in the area) and we told the membership desk that we may be moving out of the area mid-year. They informed us that we could just call the membership services folks and cancel. Well lo and behold, its mid-year and we're moving. I have been a member of Burbank Athletic Club since late February 2011 and have not been satisfied at all.  My biggest issue is with the poor equipment - it seems like a new thing is broken each week and trying to reach the managers is impossible. Tried to cancel membership due to broken machines/horrible customer service, but was denied.  Went to my Credit Card and they reversed the charges, only to get a rebuttal from BAC on the attempted refund by my Credit Card Company. The worst gym ever. Very, very rude sales team. I was going there only for a boxing class. The trainer was also under paid and not happy there. Stay away from this place, go to the <a rel="nofollow">http://www.powerhousegym...</a> instead.

the owner is so rude, I was using a machine about 2 weeks ago, he approached me asking if I was done using the machine, because he needed to use it right away, wth I pay my monthly membership, he was staring at me the whole time in such a pushy way, he made me feel very uncomfortable, he should lead his team to provide us members with a professional relax environment, when I was told he was the owner I couldn't believe it, I'm now at a 24 hours fitness.

Became a member about two weeks ago and I have to say one of the cleanest gyms I have gone to.  I love the owner Greg he is such a gentlemen.  I love the spinning classed they offer! Anytime I have asked for the air to be higher they have done it....every other GYM sorry its set to this temp.  Thanks Guys!!
