I saw him yesterday for a leg lesion that wasn't healing. Very straightforward, no nonsense man, but knew his stuff. Took a biopsy of it on the spot and did so with great care and good technique. Minimal discomfort because it was numbed up first. Pleasant, but not chatty. Fine with me, I was in on time and out in 15 minutes. They will call with results, and if they don't, they gave me a paper with information to look it up on the patient portal. I will return to him. Can't understand the negative review. From the time one enters the reception area of Dr. James office, one is greeted with her very friendly staff. The waiting area is always clean and quiet. When one's name is called to see Dr. James, the nurse is pleasant and greets one with a warm smile. One feels comfortable waiting for the doctor to enter. Dr. James is always professional, caring and listens to one's concerns. She is gentle as she examines, explains her observations and recommends a treatment. How fortunate one is to have Dr. James as their dermatologist!

Dr Shurnas has been our dermatologist for many years for my wife and me. She provides professional service in a competent considerate way. Her quick recognition of a potentially serious skin eruption lead to the identification of a Merkel Cell carcinoma, with successful treatment by a team of oncological specialists. We recommend her highly.
