After visiting yesterday and travelling back especially to see if the ship in glass case was still there, I was disappointed to be told it was not for sale despite being priced and sat in the window. More disappointing was the attitude of the gentleman behind the counter who first said that items in the window were not for sale and then backtracked with the excuse was that it was for sale on ebay. Small drab store, 2 staff in the back sorting, no one on the shop floor, even though there were customers in the shop. Waited at the till with my granddaughters to pay for the books they had chosen. Eventually had to go and ask to be served. Made to feel like we were an inconvenience. Offered ten pound note for my purchase, was told she didn't have change. I told her I didn't have any less. She made her problem mine. I eventually paid by card. Which I prefer not to do with small purchases because of the cost to the charity. ... read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean bright shop with a good varied selection with very reasonable prices.
