I assumed the salesman was exaggerating a bit when he said we should be able to get 100% of our power needs supplied by the solar array. But not only do they only generate about half of it, it turns out based on their max capacity (9.6 kW) they aren't even capable of generating close that amount. My house uses 1,800 kWh per month, and given our location in NC, we only get about 3.5 "full sun" hours. So 9.6kW x 3.5 = 33.6kwh/day x 30days = 1008kwh/month at most. This is just half what we use month to month. To claim that they... read more

Our solar panels were installed Monday, May 4. I felt comfortable with the manager and the crew. They picked up after themselves and took away all the cardboard, etc. They called the city inspector, and inspection was done the next day. Then the electric company, Duke Energy, installed th ed net meter, and, we were on! The initial meetings were handled professionally and with knowledge

Brio Energy kept us in the loop and notified us of every move, from the beginning to ending. Clean reputable work. We have no complaints and are so happy with our clean energy and how low our bills have been since going with solar! Highly recommended.

First, it took much longer to install than they quote. The Salesman definitely lied but they are salesman. I was told I would be re-imbursed if the panels were not operational by the first payment. They were NOT and when I called they said due to the pandemic they could not honor that as it was not their fault. Let me be clear it was their fault. In my conversation with their employees, I learned that nearly 3 months of the delay was because they had no one in this area (Davidson Co, NC) to deliver a copy of the request to t... read more

Great company and great experience all around. Our solar is up and running and harnessing the power of the sun to make our lives easier. The company was easy to work with, timely in their scheduled appointments, and communicated regularly with us to make sure the installation process went smoothly. The installation of the panels was done in a timely manner. The quality of the product and their outstanding customer service would be two of their best qualities as a company. I would highly recommend going with Brio Energy if yo... read more

They have knocked on my door twice during the pandemic. Do not send sales people out during a pandemic. This is ridiculous.

I don't often leave reviews, but I had a great experience with Brio. The sales rep was very informative and kind. He directed me to a few installs in the area that I ended up driving by, and they looked good so we took the chance. We were kept in the loop throughout the whole process, almost too much so. We seemed to get a call every week with an update, which I can appreciate. Our HOA was being little difficult, but they worked with them and handled it all. Install only took a day, and the electrician came the next day. Its... read more

I am staying with my parents at their farm during the coronavirus pandemic. Tonight (4/9/2020) a salesman for Brio Energy showed up. He was looking for my 87 year old grandmother who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Apparently she spoke with a Brio Energy representative on the phone and agreed to a face to face meeting. My father tried to explain this situation to the salesman and he basically guilt tripped them into listening to his sales pitch. He DID NOT practice social distancing and was probably within 3 feet of them. ... read more

Business response:

We completely understand the apprehension you would have during a time like this. We have instructed and trained our representatives to exercise extreme caution during this time. Transitioning to Solar allows our customers to be self reliant during times or crisis as it a provides a safety net. We will take this opportunity to continue to encourage our employees to exercise caution and social distancing standards.

My journey began with Brio on 92/25/2019 with the contract signing and was told then the system would be operational within 3-4 months. It in now March 30, 2020 and the system has not operated a single day. I have made numerous phone calls and text with several people at Brio and it is rare to get the same person on the phone twice. The system was ready to turn on around 1/28/2020 however it would not function properly. I called Brio and they said they could have a service tech here by February 28th however rain pushed that ... read more
