The tavern that rose from two fires to be the oldest restaurant in all of the town, is worth going to see based on History alone. The food, too, is a delicious range of traditional, home-cooked fare, made from scratch. The buffet menu offers a different variety of dishes each day and the numerous pies for dessert are a truly mouthwatering end to the meal. There is an event hall that seats up to 150 people. You can also pick up a couple of souvenirs to remember the trip from the small shop before you leave.

we absolutely love eating at Breitbachs!! Their Wednesday night German buffet and the Friday night Seafood buffet are amazing!!! Their homemade soups and desserts are so good! The owner Mike Breitbach never fails to greet guests with a handshake or a hug!! Their staff is always happy, smiling and efficient!! You gotta check it out!!

Homemade pie 🥧, great food and drinks, and a fantastic view of the Mississippi River valley as you drive or pedal up. Always worth the trip. Also, I have to say the outdoor gardens in summertime are amazing.
The food is great! Best tasting fish around! The service is awesome! Everyone is super friendly! You will never leave hungry maybe wishing you had room for more cause it’s just that good!!!
