The tavern that rose from two fires to be the oldest restaurant in all of the town, is worth going to see based on History alone. The food, too, is a delicious range of traditional, home-cooked fare, made from scratch. The buffet menu offers a different variety of dishes each day and the numerous pies for dessert are a truly mouthwatering end to the meal. There is an event hall that seats up to 150 people. You can also pick up a couple of souvenirs to remember the trip from the small shop before you leave.

We love the Friday fish fry smorgasbord. The fish is lightly breaded and is delicious, I also love the shrimp as well. I didn’t have the soup but the rest of my party did and they said it was wonderful. Our get together was prompted by eating at Breitbach’s. We also love the different pies for desert, so save some room for desert! We can’t wait to meet in Balltown again!
