The tavern that rose from two fires to be the oldest restaurant in all of the town, is worth going to see based on History alone. The food, too, is a delicious range of traditional, home-cooked fare, made from scratch. The buffet menu offers a different variety of dishes each day and the numerous pies for dessert are a truly mouthwatering end to the meal. There is an event hall that seats up to 150 people. You can also pick up a couple of souvenirs to remember the trip from the small shop before you leave.

RecommendedWent with a tour group and the food on the German buffet was excellent but I was really disappointed in the ‘strawberry shortcake’ they served for dessert (yellow cake with frosting of some sort and runny thawed frozen strawberries)

This is a Great place to go eat, relax and have a great time!! Any time of year.
We make it a tradition to have lunch here every fall then head over to the Balltown lookout area.
They have a nice little buffet. Great first time experience.

Really neat place. Wonderful service and the gentleman who took our payment actually shook my hand! Will definitely be back.
