I brought my Jeep to this location two weeks ago for a squeaking sound. They told me I needed to have my rotors resurfaced and get an alignment. I do so. Two weeks later I'm hearing the same sound and the alignment doesn't feel quite right. He comes back tell me that now I need to have my brand new brake pads changed to match the rotors since they were resurfaced two weeks ago. No one ever mentioned that two weeks ago. Do not go here to get an oil change. This place ruined my car. They didn’t replace the oil in my car. Now my engine is ruined and have to sell my car!!! Bad business!!!

I visited Brake Check Thursday, 7/11/19 for an oil change, as well as an alignment. I stayed home Friday, then let my wife take the car to work Saturday. Come Sunday, 7/14/19 when starting the car I noticed the engine sounded weird. So I checked under the hood to see radiator fluid everywhere. Also, the oil pan was empty. So I attempted to put oil, and radiator fluid back into the car. Only to see the oil drain right back out. I brought my work van to Brake check to have an alignment done. When I talked with the service person that checked it in I explained to him the the inside of my tires are wearing quickly so it really needed the camber adjusted. They worked on it for 30 or 45 minutes and then called me out to the computer. The service guy James told me that the camper was out (which I already knew) but they could not adjust it. I had brake and strut work done on my car at Brake Check in San Antonio at 15826 San Pedro Location. The staff was wonderful and helpful, however I was disappointed to find out how much the charged me for the parts that were needed. I was told that they could only get the parts from the dealer. After reviewing how much the parts cost at local auto parts shops, I was shocked to find that they charged me almost 100% markup. On last oil change of $80 they told me oil filter didn't needed to be replaced, but no discount was given. I talked to the manager and told me my next oil change was going to count as the 4th and was going to be the free one. I only had 2. I went today and guess what... All BS they charged me the $80 and played like it was nothing on the system and the employee called the manager and still they were like stupids saying there is nothing on the system. Don't ever use Brake Check off 1604 and Bandera. Early 2013 My rotors were shaking while applying the brakes. Charged over $1000 to change all four rotors. In May returned to have all struts changed, charge $1200. Middle of May came back again to have radiator hose changed. For a simple hose replacement, the mechanic tried using a screw driver to pry the hose from the neck, causing a pie break in the neck. They tried to convince me the problem was there before. Not impressed with my overall experience with Brake Check. Originally took my car in to have brakes replaced which they did. I returned a few days later as they said they could replace my alternator. When they replaced the alternator I asked them to check my new brakes as they were squeaking. For some reason I agreed to have them work on my AC in my car which was blowing hot air. We were going on a long trip to Nevada from San Antonio, TX which was over 1,000 miles going and another 1,000 back. We decided to get maintenance done on our car due to the mileage we were traveling. We wanted to make sure that our car was ready for the long trip.
