FABULOUS – Pricey, but worth every penny! This restaurant is out of this world good - I can't wait to go back!

Glass half empty or half full? – I agree with other reviews that at these prices, one should justifyably expect an other-worldly experience. Our dining party of 8 was there to celebrate a special birthday. Thank goodness for the warm, elegant (but not too stuffy) ambiance. The head waiter, in an appartent effort to shirk the "pretentious" label, acted like more of a cool-guy buddy than a professional server at an upscale restaurant. We found fault with the uncoordinated service as well. My husband had to call the head waiter... read more

Average food and service, not impressed – Went to Bouley for Christmas Eve dinner, party of three and we three were all unimpressed with the food and disappointed in the service. In an attempt to not be rude, service at Bouley was below average for any eating establishment. Our waiter was unprofessional given Bouley's attempt to be ranked as one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Our waiter never inquired about our meal, service was rushed, he questions my wife?s choice of desert, and he served my wife crossing me. The so... read more

Terrible service, certainly not worth the money. – Went to Bouley for Christmas dinner. Party of six. Unmerry Christmas. A young French waiter assigned to our table was extremeley rude and kept muttering unpleasantries in his mother tongue. These utterances were accompanied with scowls. Such disservice should be dealt with immediately, especially when they command $150 per head. We approached the head person to express our concerns, but he too, simply blew us off. They should get a copy of Danny Meyer's book "Setting the Tab... read more

Bouley ships its Garbage to Danube, next door – if you want your napkin folded and refolded for you, then you should apparently not go to bouley. i always bring my mommy with me when i go to bouley so that she can fold my napkins for me. she accepts the deal because she gets the some of the most outstanding food in the world. and by the way, the wine guy, whatever you call it, is my favorite in the city as he remembers me everytime and always puts me into an incredible wine. i love the red room. THANK GOD THEY DON't FOLD MY ... read more

it's good, but missing all the pieces to be spectacular – chef bouley has been a fixture in new york for years. after 9-11, he shut down for a while, but now back with bouley at 120 west broadway. it claims to be french, but i think it's not as traditional. they have sushi and fusion type dishes. food was decent, and service was ok. for new york standards, i guess $150 per person with a bottle of wine is not that bad. for the expectations of spending that $, i was hoping for better service and something to wow about. all in ... read more

Remarkable food, unremarkable service – My wife and I recently had dinner here for our 2nd wedding anniversary and the Bouley dining room certainly is conducive to a memorable and romantic evening. Of all the restaurants that we have dined at I cannot think of any that I could say offered more wonderful cuisine. The duck entree was perhaps the best thing I have had in any restaurant. Rating Bouley for the food alone I would be mean to give anything less than a 9. However, despite the unforgettable food, the dining experience... read more

Excellent! – I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was absolutely awesome! The service was impeccable, the wine list extraordinary, the food exquisite, and the atmosphere was perfect. Bouley is fine dining at its best and I can't wait to go back!
