Nice time – I went here to celebrate with my boyfriend and we had a very nice dinner. The service was great and everyone had a great attitude. We had the prix fixe dinner with wine pairings and we loved it. The wines were great and they gave us ample amounts and the food was very inventive and creative and delicious. We both enjoyed our food and the desserts were great. This is defintiely a great place to go for a special occasion.

A+ - PERFECT! – BOULEY HAS EXCELLENT FOOD AND IMPECCABLE SERVICE. THE WAITER MADE US LAUGH AND THEY ARE APPROPRIATELY ATTENTIVE - THE FOOD WAS PHENOM - GET THE SEAFOOD SALAD (WARM BUT WONDERFUL) AND THE BABY PIG. THIS IS ONE OF NEW YORK'S TREASURES, AND BETTER THAN DANIEL, LE CIRQUE AND ON PAR WITH THE MORE POPULAR JEAN GEORGES. YOU WON'T REGRET COMING HERE!

Some Sparks Still Fly – A decade ago, the original Bouley restaurant was deservedly at the very center of the New York fine restaurant scene: the ever-changing menu expressed Chefs manic energy and creativity, waitstaff were nearly gleeful, proffering explanations of each surprising course as it arrived. Restaurant created todays uniquely-American definition of a relaxed, elegant, and superb haute cuisine experience. Now, tamer evenings retain some of the former wildness as in the successful, ineffable amuse of coconut sorbe... read more

disappointing – My husband and I went to Bouley on a saturday night in october. The food was overall really good but variable depending on the choice of the meal, which for such a renowned and expensive place, was unexpected. The service was bad, honestly : we could feel the stress of the waiters coming every 2 minutes to check if we had finished our meal, filling our glaces of water etc I think the management should emphorsize on the importance of being relaxed and show some savoir-vivre more than forcing their staff to fil... read more

Exceptional food; Stellar Service – I suppose that Bouley has since re-vamped their service since the last reader reviews - because I cannot remember the last time I had such great service. We had 4-5 various servers - the manager visited our table several times, and everything was timed perfectly. We got to thank the chef & pastry chef personally. The food was incredible - we had the chef choose our menu and everything was so fresh and delectable. Bravo!

terrible service – while the food was very good, the service was terrible. the staff was unattentive. the waiter never asked if we would like more drinks, we had to flag him down and ask him and then when he brought them he forget two of them. if bouley expects us to pay top dollar for the food, they should offer top dollar service. in my opinion, the poor service ruined what would have been an otherwise wonderful dining experience.

Food, Not Service – I just ate at Bouley. The food was very good, inventive and exciting. However, the service was a bit lacking. I think the food will carry them until service improves, but if it does not, NY diners will not eat there, and the Staten Island set will fill the tables. Yeah.

Worth. Every. Penny. – Dined at Bouley for the 4th or 5th time this past weekend. Once again, we were thoroughly impressed. Our only criticim, which is minor, is that it would be nice if they had a few more options on the wine list in the $35-50 range.... too many over $80.

Fantastic – I have eaten at Bouley several times (Lunch and Dinner) and love the food, service and decor. The food is well prepared; full flavored, a bit exotic, and the presentation appetizing. The deserts are wonderful and creative. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant. The only down side is room is a little bit dark.
