I just moved of my apartment. It was myself, my daughter, and a roommate. The apartment I moved into was one of the apartments that was not remodeled so it had basic lived in conditions (old oven, washer, dryer, etc). When I got the move in checklist it all seemed pretty ordinary compared to other places I rented and Ive always got back my full deposit from EVERY place Ive rented, and Im 52 so I rented quite a few places in my lifetime. This company systematically hold deposits for a longer time and avoid returning calls to frustrate customers. Further, they charge you extra and add unnecessary moving-out costs and do not allow you to dispute those charges. Their representative gave me a call, shouting at me that I can hire an attorney if I do not like the charges. They know, no one is going to hire an attorney for $250 and that is how they manage to get the money by using the fear of people from having their credit score going down. The company allowed Identity Theft which destroyed my credit for 3 months. ******************** allowed a couple that used a fake ID, to rent a townhome under my name. They did not run the credit to verify them or I would have been notified by LifeLock. 8 months later, my credit dropped 164 points overnight for a collections agency trying to collect. RAMPANT THEFT, RACIST NEIGHBORS and NO HELP. AWFUL place to live, dishonest management they have changed SEVERAL office managers the last one was shady and a thief you never know who will be there, they have a person that is just contracted and doesn't know s*** there on the weekends that can't even get into the system or help with ANYTHING it's useless having him there they did not train him or give him access to do what he needs to help residents on weekends even though they say they are open. theft on the property is RAMP... read more

I had to move from my apartment, as I could not find work that would accommodate to my schedule, as I an a single mom of four. I finished my lease and moved out owing back rent, I finally got in contact with a woman called *****, after weeks of trying, to set up a payment plan. I told her I needed proof of this payment plan as I am on section 8 and cannot might into a unit while owing back rent. She told me the only proof I would get is an email. Since Ave5 took over ********, the issues are endless. Rats, poor maintenance, horribly rude staff, trash everywhere, not to mention the seemingly arbitrary rent increases. I spoke with a few neighbors, some had their rents increased by as little as $20 a month, mine was increasing $800 for a 1bed/1bath. One neighbor had their 2bed/2bath rent go up only $200. I have an absolute distain for this management company. Especially here at Lookout ridge. Theyre charging us for amenities that they arent fixing. Our dryer has been broken the whole time weve lived here and the toilet in the second room was broken. Weve also had to pay full price for this place when we only have one spot when we should have a garage too. Parking is terrible. I feel its unfair for a buyer to try to get qualified in these parks (Sage park) because of the social security benefits, but more likely the lazieness of the mangement of the people who work there.People have lots of money in the bank and they still wont allow them to retire and enjoy the rest of their lives there!
