For almost two centuries the hotel has offered hospitality to locals and visitors alike. It began life in 1816 as a simple boarding house for summer visitors to one of America's earliest seaside resorts. Its owner, Thomas H. Hughes, called his new boarding house "The Big House". The atmosphere is great. Unfriendly hostess, some of the wait staff is friendly.
Hands down best restaurant in Cape May! Celebrated our anniversary back in June and enjoyed the food so much we returned the following day. Decided to come back to Cape May after Labor Day and had to come back to our FAVORITE restaurant. The 3 times we have been we had the same waitress, Maria, and she was also amazing! See you next year!
Good sized breakfast portions. Service a little slow, but friendly and accurate.
We did not have reservations so we had to order takeout and eat outside. The food was good. The portions were small..but the ingredients were unusual...like chorizo. The food needed salt and pepper.
Ambiance was spectacular and so was the food!!
No shore trip is complete without brunch at the Blue Pig. We haven’t missed in decades 🏝🍽
