The dealership had the vehicle I wanted (2020 Ford Edge) at a reasonable price (better than several competitors) and with relatively low mileage (34,000) for a car that had been returned after another driver has a 3-year lease. Story too long to fit it all in , so long story short was talkiing to the salesman named bob on and off for a week about this car he told me payments would be in the 600s with $1000-3000$ down that to get it in the 400s a month with my trade I would have to put $5000 down , I then asked him to try without the trade in he called back eager saying I could get it at the payment I wanted I was approved could I send a deposit to hold the car I told him no I would like to see it and test drive it first came the next day from 4hour... read more

Just to review, you inquired about are 2012 Mercedes with our salesman over the phone, at which point you told him you were approximately 4 hours away from our dealership. You then decided to do an online credit application to get pre-approval before you made the trip, which made sense.
