Sue at the front desk is rude. She was making comments about not knowing why my dad is sick. Probably because she is a nurse and not a doctor. They would not give us a room and we sat in the waiting room for over 5 hours. She made a comment very loudly about my fathers medication, which is a violation of HIPPA. We will NEVER come back to this ER again.
Sharing a room is not my strong point. This is mainly because others lack basic civility and I am quick to correct. Staff is useless....i had a roommate with 5 loud visitors on and off all day and their idea of a solution was for ME to put on .50 sent headphones. Grow some balls and restrict the amount of people in a room or make them go to the day room. Stop punishing the one whose trying to rest.
This is by far the best hospital in BRADENTON. They are very professional, only does what is best for the patient, and as far as employment they have full benefits and 401k for full time employees ! An amazing place overall I would recommend everyone to go there rather than manatee memorial and Lakewood ranch hospitals !
Giving it a one star is being nice. Husband is still in here from open heart surgery and the day shift on this floor sucks! Nurses in C.V.I.C.U were wonderful! However the recovering floor has been awful. What a way to treat a patient recovering from surgery. 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer call light then another 15 for a nurse to actually show up. Several urine containers sitting around as company shows up! Not to mention no nurse to check on my husband from 2 pm and on it is now 6 pm and no sight of a nurse. But ... read more
They give you a time to get here, sit around and wait!! Terrible!!!
Just left the ER with my mother who was in obvious pain. She was seen for a reaction to a bug bit. Her foot and leg are swollen and red. She and I both told them several times that she keeps getting shooting pains in her leg that take her breath away. When I asked to see the pa again about it they basically rushed us out the door. She is now in tears because the pain has gotten so much worse. I have always been a big fan of Blake's but if this is the new way of treating patients we will not be back. Great staff. I had a wisdom tooth removed that was infected and had been instructed to go to blake. First night we got into a room. Next day they did surgery. And I got to leave the day after surgery. Monica was my night time nurse and she was very comforting and tended to every need I had�
