I did the 10am Heritage Tramtown tour on a Monday. All of the staff and guides were very informative, polite and helped to make the visit as enjoyable as possible . You learn a lot about the history of the trams and some of the historic illuminations that were made in Tramtown. You get to sit inside some of the historic trams. Additionally seeing some of the motors and the under frame for a tram being restored was a nice bonus. Definitely worth a visit.
Booked a 10am Sunday tour for partners birthday. Only 10 of us in the group which meant the guide was able to answer our individual questions. Tour took about 1hour 50 minutes. Able to stay in the ballroom after the tour if wanted. Guide Francis was amazing. Friendly, personable (tried to recall everyone's first names and an interesting fact about where we had all come from) and knowledgeable. Went on the heritage illumination tour fabulous experience staff were great and very informative. Would highly recommend
Visited on Sunday. Despite others mentioning some history or information there was nothing offered on our tour and we literally trundled along and back, 40 mins as opposed to the hour advertised. Underwhelming overall particularly compared to others' reviews.
