So many issues at this place it’s not hard to see why it’s now permanently closed. There’s shabby chic but this place is just shabby from top to bottom. Pretentious food that wasn’t necessary, stains throughout decor, gym that’s cold and uninspiring, outdoor pool that’s poorly maintained. Staff who really feel like they are more important than the guests. A soho house you tried to be my darling but you’ll never ever be anywhere close. Administration was I’m afraid inevitable.
Lush setting & plenty to explore within the grounds. Grand entrances with modern/vibrant twist. Rooms were pretty, clean and stunning views from large bay windows. Bathrooms were unique with well stocked toiletries. We ate at two of the restaurants, plenty of delicious food choices that tasted delicious. I've had better stays in Travel Tavern's, at least there was a mini-fridge to get a tin of fanta from.
Website still allows you to book. The hotel is closed. Birch owes my son £3 in wages and he’s got no chance of getting them. I hope the directors have a merry Christmas
Everything was poor reception staff were friendly. I will never go back
