Sports Bar? – It seems like every time I go to Big Wangs they are out of something. I used to enjoy this place, but lately not so much. Last time I was there, they were out of 2 beers I had asked for and the beer I finally got was warm. A time before that, they were out of a favorite item on the menu. The clientel was always pretty bad but that too, has gotten worse. The only thing that has gotten better is the good looking bar staff, although there is quite a turn over. This place used to be a great neighorhood bar and very... read more

Sunday footbal location – get there early to snag a table -- this place is slammed on Sunday -- that being said, this is a great place to catch a game. Their food is greasy, but delicious -- Definitely try the pizza fries. Their bloody mary is a great way to start the day.

Best wings in LA, crowded on football Sunday – This place is a breath of fresh air in chachi-soaked Hollywood. They have great wings, great beer, good specials, and during the week, it's always chill. Also a great place to catch sports events, though it's a little too crowded for my tastes on Sunday for football. REPRESENT!

Good-time, barn-themed bar with chicken wings and down-home drinking along the Cahuenga Corridor. – In Short Venturing into original bar-theme territory, this barn-inspired spot manages a country setting without too much kitsch. The large diner-like front room is painted with subtle cornfield landscapes, attracting dressed-down Hollywood crowds to its tomato-red booths and two pool tables. A mostly college-age crowd takes in the view of nearly a dozen sports-tuned TVs, but the biggest screen is in the barn, a wood-accented b... read more

Best bartender in town – I came to L.A. for a visit, and was introduced to the guys down at the Big Wang's. I loved it so much I hung out there almost every night. The bartender, Mike, on Wednesday's is the best, if you go make sure to tell him "Indiana Sweet Corn" said HI, he'll know who you're talkin about!

It's Aiight... – Met a friend to watch the 'HAWKS play Chicago. It was packed. Several flat screens so ure able to watch from any angle. The crowd was fun. Real sports fans (beer fans as well) wearing their team jerserys and hats, cheering and being respecful of rival fans which is a total positive. The place also had a lot of women which I thought was even more cool. The menu had some diversity for a sports bar. The wings, burgers and fries have my stamp of approval even though it took a really long time for our waitress to... read more

Solid dive/sports bar – Good down-to-earth spot. It's somewhere between a sports bar and a big dive bar. Lots of guys there for the wings and the endless TVs with sports. There are two pool tables and the crowd is friendly and pretty drunk. The windows along the side are usually open and there's plenty of room to sit. The bartender remembered the brand of Tequila I was drinking without any prompting or double-checking.

low key spot with eclectic crowd – I've been going to BW's for awhile now, and I always enjoy it. It's friendly, low-key, no-hassle. The mp3 jukebox is great, and there's a patio on the back for cig breaks. The bouncers are friendly, as are most of the bartenders. My only caveat is that wednesday nights (karaoke) can get really hectic, so if you are looking for a chill spot, avoid this night. Also, ashlee simpson goes here -- it's inordinately fun to spy on her being so lame.

Great Atmosphere, great service, below average management – The menu is old and apparently does not reflect the correct prices or options. We ordered a pitcher going off of the menu and when we got the bill they charged us more than the menu said. Our waitress Emily was amazing, but the manager was aggressive and accused us of being wrong even after he admitted that the menu was wrong. Still like the place, the sports, the atmosphere, the waitstaff, but unimpressed with the management.
