ITS GAME TIME – I just came from Big Wangs watching the NBA FInals. I had heard about this place from some friends and they did not let me down. Beer on tap, what a novel idea! – One slow Saturday I entered Big Wang's with my lady and a H'wood buddy. We liked it, but we didn't eat there so I'm unsure of the food quality. They have a decent selection of beer on tap and pitchers which if you are from anywhere other than LA is standard but in this town it is totally and completely foreign, so I like it just for that. Big W...aste of time! – OK, so I heard about the cheap beer and had to check it out. It was a huge waste of my time. I totally agree with the other review...I had to wait 20 minutes to get in, and the bar wasn't crowded. They want it to look more popular and fun than it is!!! Once I got in, I was sitting at a table for 15 minutes before a server approached me, and then it took the food forever to come out. my one true heart's desire – This place is awesome. Where else can you have 7 beers, an order of chicken wings, and pizza for under $40? The jukebox music is always good. The people are always cool. The drinks are always great. The food is always delicious. I always leave drunk. The best part is that I live within walking distance. Big Wangs, I love you.
Horsesh** – Wednesday night, 11pm, you and your friends want a place to go. Big Wangs is NOT the place. Standing in a line for an empty bar is not a good time. Well Big Wangs made us do just that. We were told they were "at capacity", and the that the capacity was only 79 people. THERE WERE EMPTY TABLES! If you don't get there by 9:30 don't waste you time. Unless you like standing outside a bar, it's a good idea to find a new Hollywood joint.
A Hollywood void is filled! – This is a great place for "daytime drinking". It's open and airy and the crowd is generally mixed. No inflated beer prices here! We spent the day eating wonderfully crispy hot wings, (no gross gristle!) It's kind of got that college sports-bar vibe without all the annoying meatheads. Good times!!! – Fun atmos with an mp3 jukebox, pool tables and big booths. Grab a few friends and get yourselves a big platter of tasty wings with a pitcher to share. Open late and reasonably priced. They have valet parking if needed (particularily on the weekends when there's nil to be found on the streets of Hollywood).
There is a wing godand WANG be thy name! – For as long as I can remember I have spent my last waking moments of each night down on my knees praying that a great sports/bar would enter my life. I went there with my buddies last Saturday as a "first-stop" on a night of drinking and ended up staying the whole night...the girls are hot, the food is great and the drinks are CHEAP!!!! this is the only place in hollywood that you can eat, get drunk and play pool all for under $40!!!
