Nurses were top notch very kind and helpful My medical team could have more upfront with me left me in the dark for two weeks. One dr was a complete butt hole (talked down you) Stick with the grilled cheese for food rest of it was very blah
I'm a patient of the Spine Center and the phenomenal Dr Papavasillio!! It's still a work in progress but so far two surgeries and I can't say enough about the care he and his staff give (big shout out to the incomparable Marcy! She's a whirlwind and a trusted member of my medical care team) Now I'm in the hands of Dr Boegler and neurology. I'm treated like the Queen of it all when I'm there. The best hospital experience I’ve ever had and I would recommend this hospital to anyone considering them. They’re professional, caring, attentive, and made me feel valued. Thanks to everyone that helped me.
Currently in the er at BIDMC. Rn Kevin refusing to let me use the phone to call family, refusing to let me have a drink until breakfast. All because I had used the phone to call the nursing supervisor,because he kept calling me he and using my old name. I'm a transgender woman and my name was legally changed
Generally, I do everything I can to avoid the ER... however, I was urged to go by my PCP to go to BID. I just finished up my 9 hour visit to the BID ER... During that time (a lengthy over night stay in my opinion) I was never offered water, a blanket or a pillow.... it took 3 hours before a nurse even took my vitals. RecommendedAbsolutely wonderful place to get your care. The staff are qualified, caring, and compassionate.
MD/RN communication is consistently done. They listen carefully and they take time to explain. Timely response to requests. Highly competent Staff. Thank you BIDMC for your excellent care to our Dad, most especially to the Neuro ICU and Neuro Step Down team. Thank you for all you do everyday!
Why is it that providers at BIDMC routinely rely on those disgraceful mechanized contraptions to take and follow BP readings w/ patient care? Every time I have seen a doctor here or elsewhere, one of those automated contrivances is used and the reading is always 30% plus off from a manual BP reading taken the old fashioned way.
The nurse that was indicted for killing my nephew is still working here!! Was allowed to renew her nursing license, even though she now has a felony!! #JusticeForKees
