Brooklyn is a tough market to find the right apartment, but Marc Berman made the process smooth and painless. Whenever I had a problem in my apartment, he was very quick to respond - even when it was after-hours. They are very friendly and care about their tenants. If I ever relocate back to Park Slope with my family, I will certainly call on them again to find the right home for us!
I can only speak to the process of finding an apartment and signing a lease with Berman, but all I can say is... DO IT. We only had 3 days in the city to find a place for a June 1 move-in date, and day 1 did not go well. Blistered, exhausted, and discouraged, we trudged into the Berman offices on 7th. I've been living in one of their apartments in Brooklyn and they're great. They were very helpful when I was looking for a place last year and since I moved in, they have been very responsive any time I needed something or wanted to ask a question. I'd definitely recommend them for anyone looking to live in Brooklyn.
My husband and I have rented from Berman Realty for the past 5 and half years. They are wonderful landlords. They care about their buildings and the people who live in them. Whenever we had need for a repair, they responded quickly to our emails and sent someone within the next 24 hours.
