I have lived in 3 different apartments owned by the Bermans from 1999-2013. Need I say more? They are incredibly fair, responsive and easy to get along with. Any issue, big or small, was taken care of immediately. We moved out of our apartment on Lincoln Place last summer (because we were having a baby, needed a bigger space and the Bermans had nothing available that fit our needs and timeframe) and are already in contact with Marc to get back into an apartment owned by his family. Was a tenant for 2.5 years at 568 5th st. Berman was the most responsive and fair landlord that I've ever heard in my 10 years of renting. Any problems or issues were typically resolved day of, no matter how small. The apartment was fantastic and had just been recently renovated with beautiful and high end finishes. I recommend them to anyone I know and if/when I move back to NYC it's the first place I'll go to find an apartment.
We love our landlord, which is a crazy thing to say in New York. Whenever something goes wrong (which is rare), no matter how small, Berman responds immediately, efficiently, and effectively. The peace of mind that comes from not worrying about your landlord is priceless to us. Very highly recommended.

We've been renting from Berman Realty from almost a year now. Can't agree with the other reviews more... These folks are definitely breaking the landlord mold. Any problems have been addressed in minutes and resolved in hours. Everyone at the office (and the service crew) are always fast, fair and friendly. Just good people.

I loved my Berman apartment. The entire process - from looking at apartments, choosing one and signing a lease, and being a tenant - was friendly, smooth, and incredibly easy. Everyone at Berman is a pleasure to deal with - they are the best landlords anyone could hope for. No NYC horror stories here! The only reason I left was because of a life change - I had absolutely no complaints. (And I had a brand new kitchen and no roaches or mice which is truly unheard of in Brooklyn.) Thanks, Berman!
We are loving renting from Berman Realty. They have been extremely responsive, and have gone above and beyond in replacing appliances and updating the apartment. I highly recommend them!
