Dr. Amis is easy to talk to. He spends all the time you need to be made aware of your treatment and made comfortable. I was treated for a trigger finger, this was my second visit, and I was told in my first visit A second may be necessary. Good doctors are hard to find and I am blessed to have found the best hand doctor in Austin. He also has a lovely staff who are attentive and kind.

I have visited other doctors about my problem, but Dr. Amis was the first one to explain it in a way that was easily understood the first time. His staff was also very helpful.

Dr. Amis corrected a problem that had arisen from a previous procedure done by someone else. He also took time to investigate a pain in my shoulder, took X rays and discussed his findings with me and gave me some exercises I could do that will hopefully eliminate a need for surgery. He is a compassionate, thorough , knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to. his staff is competent and very professional and presents a very laid back and friendly atmosphere from the initial phone call to the latest visit.

My experience with Dr. Amis began two year’s ago after a vehicle accident. He first treated a very painful left thumb. After trying some physical therapy and cortisone injections we decided surgery would be the best for me. After the surgery my thumb almost immediately began feeling better. I’m so glad I had the surgery I haven’t had any pain in my thumb since. My ordeal continued though with a very painful left hand and wrist. Dr. Amis decided to have another MRI done on my hand/wrist. This MRI showed another injury not vis... read more

The staff was wonderful and I was very impressed with Dr. Amis. He was very direct in explaining my condition and I appreciate the fact that he did not try to up sell me on a surgery I don’t need, which has been an experience I had with most doctors. He’s compassionate, kind and honest which is hard to find now a-days. I recommend Dr Amis highly.
