Dr. Amis performed a trigger finger release for me yesterday. Prior to my procedure, he explained everything thoroughly and in language I could understand so I knew what to expect. He encouraged questions and made sure that I knew exactly what would happen each step of the way. I asked many questions, all of which he patiently answered. He was concerned about my comfort and pain level the entire time and spent extra time cleaning my hand prior to beginning. He referred to this as “overkill.” I call it meticulous caution. This is the second time I've seen Dr. Amis--once for carpal tunnel syndrome--and this time for a trigger finger. He did a thorough exam and suggested that I first get a cortisone shot, which he always initially wants to do before performing surgery. It impressed me to hear that he wanted to try the easiest solution first. I explained to him that cortisone shots have never worked for me. He took me at my word and to listen to my request for surgery without the shot. He then suggested two routes for anesthesia. He carefully ex... read more

Positive energy... customer service was exceptional. DR. Amis performed surgery on my hand for Dupreyten's Contracture. The procedure was exactly as he described it. The whole process was painless, and took 30 minutes. We had a friendly dialogue during entire process. I have 99% use of the affected finger with zero pain or bruises afterwards. I consider this to be my ' medical miracle'! My only regret is that I did not do it sooner.

I had a very serious hand injury where I ruptured at least one tendon in all four fingers. Dr. Amis performed an almost 6 hour surgery and repaired all the ruptured tendons. A little over 3 months post op I was playing golf and working out. I feel incredibly fortunate given the injury I sustained and without a doubt owe Dr. Amis more than words can describe. I couldn’t recommend him more.

I had arthritis surgery on both thumbs — both surgeries were a great success.

I had open carpel tunnel surgery performed and I am very happy with the outcome. Dr. AMIS used local anesthesia only, and it was just awesome. No pain, quick, easy, and just after 24 hrs it feels so much better. His staff is very courteous and shows a genuine concern for you well being. I will definitely be getting my other hand repaired in the near future.

Met me Dr. Amis for an initial eval and consult. He and his team were prompt, friendly, professional and informative. I was provided with options with the accompanying risks and benefits. My questions were answered fully and without rush. We completed the interview with a short and long term plan of care. I also received an in office procedure. Throughout the procedure, I was assessed for discomfort or pain--there was none! Will return.
