Dr. Amis took the time to thoroughly and clearly explain my problem, and the options for treatment. I felt truly seen, not rushed through like I did with a previous hand surgeon. His calm and open demeanor were most helpful when I had to endure a steroid shot. I recommend him wholeheartedly!

Dr. Amis took time to listen to me describing my injury, reviewing my X-ray with me and presenting me with four treatment options. He explained why the one he was recommending would Immediately address the injury and result in faster healing time. It’s the second day after treatment and I’m already seeing very good results. Dr. Amis and his staff were friendly, efficient, caring and everyone made the experience as easy as they could for me. Dr. Amis has a good chair side manner which is the type of Dr. that I want to treat m... read more

This was my first visit and I am well pleased with the start. Dr Amis was a pleasure to meet. He described my hand problems in terms I could understand and came up with a game plan to get me better. He genuinely cares.

Although I was surprised there was not the requisite five pages of forms to fill out, I only had to wait about five minutes before I was taken to the room. During the pre interview the nurse found out that I had had some electrical testing done on my hand so before proceeding, the doctor asked that those tests be sent over so he could review them along with the x-rays he took and the MRI previously taken. Dr. Amis obviously takes a very conservative approach to healing of the situation, with surgery being a last resort. I co... read more

Great doctor! Great practice and staff! Super friendly and highly knowledgeable doc with a real personality who answers questions, doesn’t rush you in consultation and provides valuable insight. Thoroughly capable Dr Amis is a great explainer. Friendliest and most sincere medical practice I’ve been to. I will be recommending this practice.

I saw Dr. Amis for a couple of lumps in my hand, that had been there quite a while and were growing. He did not push surgery, but presented me with all the options. I first opted not to have surgery, but then decided to go ahead. At that point, Dr. Amis said, that's what he would do, if it was him. The operation was fine. His staff were professional and helpful. Now, some months later, my hand works great, no restrictions in movement, no pain, and--he was right--it is such a relief to have the lumps gone. Dr. Amis was kind a... read more

I am a retired Physician and know a bit about doctors ways after 30 years of practice. Dr. Amis is a rare bird on these days of fast, impersonal and low quality Dr.-Patient encounters. The man listens and is genuinely interested on your story. Does a good quality interrogation after you give your piece. Takes time to examine you . Explains, even to another doctor, your condition well with no Bull and with good examples. His language is not that of a technocrat but , rather, of a man that wants to be understood. All in all, a... read more
