My father took me here after we couldn’t decide what to do. I hadn’t heard the Model Village before but I am pleased to say that this was just what I was looking for. Th attention to detail in all the models and the little buildings made you feel almost as if you had travelled back in time 1920s Great Britain. I was surprised in just how old the Model Railway was but it has held up. The Bekonscot model village is the oldest miniature village in the world, it's about 1.5hrs drive from London. The place is simply stunning and a very different experience, the staff were so lovely as well. There is a lovely play area for the children also. They also have a restaurant/dine in area with great food. Our kids aged 11 and 8 throughly enjoyed it.
It lovely beautiful model Village and I love the model steam train so much and it remind me of Thomas the tank engine series of my childhood and I love that show and I love that model Village bekonscot so much my favourite is model Steam Train 🚂.
DISAPPOINTED AND LET DOWN ! Having checked on their website that they were open we set off on a 60 mile round trip with our granddaughter. On arrival a notice was attached to the gates stating they were closed ! After speaking to a worker installing Xmas lights / decorations and showing him on the website that it stated “ IT WAS OPEN “ he said he would inform them immediately.
